Changes of the Lakewood serial models
There’s a couple of small changes concerning all serial models this year.
1. All models of the Deluxe series are now equipped with Schaller gold tuners with ebony buttons. Those wooden buttons fit to the overall concept much nicer and blend in with the Natural and Premium series.
2. The Premium models have received new tuners, too. We use Schaller GrandTune gold tuners with galalith buttons for these selected instruments now. Galalith is an artificial kind of bone imitation. Subsequently, we have given those models also bridge pins that are made of bone – real bone, though, from happy cows.
3. All Lakewood models that are equipped with a pickup system have obtained a new output jack that has been designed to our requirements. The special thing about it is the fact that it is not anymore engineered as a combination of output jack and strap button. In the past fitting a guitar strap to this pretty wide endpin-button-jack combination was sometimes fraught with problems. Not anymore, though. The new output jack is much shallower, lighter and fitted separately next to the “normal” endpin aligned along the center of the rib joint.
4. Every Lakewood guitar now has a new bone bridge saddle that has got a separate string compensation. Where to find at our booth? On all mentioned guitars.
